CVS Coupon Policy

The first thing you need to do is sign up for a CVS card (Extra Care card), once you do that, register your account online and CVS will email you coupons.  Don’t worry about CVS emailing you all the time, I only get about 2 emails a week from them.  The email I got this week was for 30% off your regular price purchase.  One very important thing to know is these emails are sent on Thursdays but do not send them to your card til Sunday.  You have 4 days to use this coupon once you send it, so if you send it to your card on Thursday, it will expire by Sunday.  Usually the coupons are for 30%, 25%, or 20% off your entire regular price purchase or $4 off $20, $5 off $25, $6 off $30.  The next thing you need to do is download the CVS app, where you can get app only savings.  Once you have the app you click on “show card and deals” and there will be a list of coupons to send to your card, I always send them all!  By doing it this way, you never have to worry about losing paper coupons and when you hand your card to the cashier, the registers automatically take off the valid coupons.  The coupons in the app are only CVS store coupons not manufacturer coupons.  Also once a week CVS will do Instant Coupon deals, you cannot get the coupon for the Instant Coupon through the app, you have to get the coupon in store at the price checker machine in the front of the store.  All you have to do is take your card and scan the barcode on the card like you are doing a price check!

So, couponing at CVS is a little complicated and hard to understand at first but CVS is also the easiest for beginners.  CVS  always does sales or earn Extra Bucks Rewards when you spend a certain amount.  Extra Bucks Rewards print out at the end of your receipt, make sure you keep this because there is a barcode on there that you need for future transactions.  All it really is, is a store credit that can only be used at CVS.  For example, this week CVS is offering $5 Extra Bucks Rewards if you spend $20 on Angel Soft bath tissue, Quilted Northern bath tissue, Brawny paper towels, Persil laundry detergent, Palmolive dish soap or Duracell batteries.  You can mix and match these items to make the $20 limit to get $5, also as along as you are within 98% of the $20, you will get the $5.  It gets even better!, that $2o limit is BEFORE you present CVS store coupons and before you present manufacturer coupons!  Have I enticed you yet to coupon at CVS?!
