Hey guys, I’m back with another Christmas picture frame! I know I’ve been making a lot of picture frames, it’s because I’m giving these out to the grandparents and aunts and uncles for part of their Christmas gift, so I figured I might as well share it with all of you! This one is great, because you can use it for recipes, menu, chore chart and the list goes on!
The first thing I started with was this Menu Board from Target’s dollar spot, it only cost $3! I really liked the finish on it so I left it alone.
First, I wanted to remove the back from the frame so I could hang this on the wall, I just pried hard with my hands to rip it off! Then I used pliers to remove the fasteners. Sorry, but I couldn’t take pictures of that step, kinda hard to take pictures and work at the same time!?
After I removed the back I added saw tooth hangers, these saw tooth hangers are great because you just have to push them in, I also secured in place with hot glue to make sure it stays on. You can find these at any hardware store, Target also sells them, its in the aisle where all the picture hanging hardware are. I don’t like the ones from Target that much, they come with really small nails and it’s pain to hammer something that small! I also provided a link below through Amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000XHO6PU/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1483660900&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=saw+tooth+hangers&dpPl=1&dpID=41WefAgGPYL&ref=plSrch
Amazon, by far has the best price for these hangers, at Home Depot, they come 3 in a pack for over $2, and Amazon has 100 for $5.95 with prime eligibility!
The next thing I added were these clips also from Target’s dollar spot, these were available before Thanksgiving, they came in a pack of four for $1, if you can’t find them, I have provided a link for something similar below through Amazon
Next, all I used was a hot glue gun to attach the clip to the frame.
Oh, I forgot to mention above, I first painted the snowflake white, sorry I forgot that step! I have the pictures posted below!
So, while the snowflake was drying, that’s when I worked on the rest of the frame! Sorry for that mistake.? I found the snowflakes in the dollar spot at Target, they were 6 for $1.
Next, figure out where you want to attach it on your frame, then adhere with hot glue, also don’t get the back and front mixed up like I did, hehe!
That’s it, another easy and cheap Christmas craft! This makes for the perfect Christmas gift! I would love to see what you guys come up with!
