Hey guys, I’m back with more tips to shopping at Target! In case you guys haven’t noticed by now, I am slightly Target obsessed!? Who isn’t?! Especially when you have kids it’s a one stop shop, and I’m all about quick with the kiddos in tow! Not only do they make it easy to shop there but they also have great prices on everyday necessities and I’m always looking to save money! Recently, I have noticed they are starting to get a little bit more expensive with some of their stuff so I usually wait til it goes on clearance unless I absolutely love it, I’m not paying full price! So, I thought it would be fun to show you guys their markdown schedule. Each department in the store will have its own days as to when the items gets marked down, for example Home & Domestics are Tuesdays. Some clearances are corporate and some are up to the store managers discretion, you can read below for all of it! Also, Target usually has a 2 week period of the item being on clearance before it gets further reduced. For instance, if you see a coffee machine on clearance for 30% off, they will wait another 2 weeks to reduce the clearance price to 50% off.
Their clearance first starts out at 15% off, then 30% off, then 50% off, then 70% off. The only times you will find items discounted at 90% off is with Holiday and Seasonal items.
MONDAYS:
Electronics, Kids & Baby Clothing, Baby Supplies, Stationery & Office Supplies
TUESDAYS:
Home & Domestic Items (including Home Decor) and Women’s Clothing
WEDNESDAYS:
Toys, Health & Beauty, Men’s Clothing, and Food
THURSDAYS:
Luggage, Lingerie, Shoes and Sporting Goods
FRIDAYS:
Cosmetics, Jewelry, Automotive, and Hardware
Target does not mark items down on the weekends but that can depend on who the store manager is. The list above is also an “unofficial” markdown calendar but this is usually how Target Corporate marks down their items.
