Seal The Fireplace Flue

Close The Blinds & Curtains
Closing the blinds and curtains can help keep cold air out, and letting the warm air stay in.
Caulk Windows & Doors
If your windows and doors aren’t properly sealed, then you are letting cold air in, so make sure they are properly sealed either with caulk or with weather stripping.
Insulate Electrical Outlets
If your electrical outlets are not insulated, you can tackle this easily by removing the cover plate and caulking around the edges of outlet, then seal it with a foam gasket, which you can purchase here from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Outlet-Sealers.
Seal Windows With Plastic Wrap
Just by using plastic wrap and a blow dryer, you can keep unwanted drafts out of your house! For a tutorial on how to do this, read here: https://www.energystar.gov.
Lock Doors & Windows
Sometimes you really have to push your windows or doors to lock them, so when you lock your windows and door you are forcing them to stay shut and by doing this you are letting unwanted cold air in, which will help keep the warm air in.
Get A Programmable Thermostat

Keep Heat Vents Clear Of Obstructions
If you keep your vents clear of obstructions, your heater will not be working harder to keep the warm air in, which in turn will you save you money on your next gas or oil bill!
Turn Down Your Water Heater
Just by turning down your water heater to 120 degrees, you can save $60 a year!
