Hey guys, I’m back to ask all of you a question! Is an Instant Pot worth it? I apparently am a little late to jump on the Instant Pot band wagon, I only found about this nifty invention recently all because of Pinterest! Once I looked into it I was hooked, but again I am obsessed with A LOT of kitchen gadgets that promise to make life easier, or any other gadgets for that reason! I did invest in the iRobot Roomba recently and will give you all my honest review on that, I am not an affiliated with iRobot but I figured it would help to review the Vaccuum. Anyways…. back on track to the Instant Pot, I do have to admit that I do not do a lot of slow cooking. I really really should but maybe I’m just stuck in my ways and I am ok with a good old fashioned pan and stove!
I do currently own a 3-in-1 Rice cooker, food steamer and slow cooker, (I purchased it at Costco last year for $30) I have used the slow cooker function a few times and loved it-keep in mind that when I slow cook I usually like rice with whatever I’m cooking and that does limit my options to what I can use the slow cooker for. I can cook a mean meal but rice is not my forte on the stove! It always comes out very soft and mushy….ewww! I’m hoping if I splurge on this, it will save me a ton of time during the week. But is that wishful thinking and justifying a purchase?! I should also recap what my days look like on a normal weekday:
EVERYDAY:
3:00 PM-Pick Up 4 year old preschool
4:10 PM-Get 6 & 7 year old bus
RANDOM DAYS OF THE WEEK & MONTH:
PTA Meetings
Chairing a Committee for the PTA
School Board Meetings
Girl Scouts
Boy Scouts, I’m also a troop leader for that!
Dance Classes
And this blog
So, maybe I’m trying to convince myself to get one! Do any of you own a Instant Pot, is it worth it?I also have to say I do LOVE the convenience of having something like this during the week but will I get my bang for my buck? Remember I got my slow cooker for $30, I don’t know if it’s worth shelling out $100 for another machine, any comments would be great! Let me know what you all use it for. You trust me in your inbox, I trust your opinions!
