DIY Christmas Gift Bag Sign
Hey guys, I know we haven’t even finished with Halloween yet and I’m showing Christmas crafts! ?I was so excited to show you this and I couldn’t wait!! Also, some of this stuff was purchased from the Dollar Spot at Target, so I wanted to give you a chance to grab your supplies while they have them! This sign was made with a gift bag and snowflake gift tags that I found in the Dollar Spot! I have all the DPCI numbers below the pictures.

I used a white washed frame that I found at Hobby Lobby which you can find here: hobbylobby.com, so there are no tools required for this project, and it’ll take about 10 minutes to make! If you missed the sale, use a 40% off coupon! The wood beads I had on hand from a few years ago also from the Dollar Spot, but Hobby Lobby and Michaels sells them.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Wood Frame
Gift Bag
Wood Beads
String
2 Snowflakes Gift Tags
DIY Mod Podge (recipe here)
Paint Brush (here)
E6000 glue
Duct Tape (optional)
Step 1:
Cut your bag, I only used one side. I also cut the ribbon off. As you can see in the picture below I had jagged edges, so I measured 1/2 an inch on all sides and trimmed that down to smooth it out.
Step 2:
I removed the saw tooth hanger off the back of the frame, so I could have an even surface to work on, I also wanted it to be a portrait picture. I am using Command strips to hang it on the wall. Once everything is cut, use a thin layer of Mod Podge on the back side and stick your bag on the wood. Make sure everything is even and add another thin layer of Mod Podge on top the gift bag.
Step 3.
While the paint is drying, string your beads and add the snowflake ornaments. My string is about 12 inches long. It doesn’t matter when you add your ornaments because the strings are long, you can make your adjustments later.
Step 4:
Secure the string beads to the back of the frame with E6000 glue, I used duct tape to hold the string in place because it needs to dry overnight. You can drill a hole on top of the frame, but I did say this would be a tool less project! Once everything is dry add your command strips and hang!
This project is so customizable, you can use any gift bags you want or any ornaments or gift tags! This project costs less than $20 to make and now I have new Christmas wall decor for my house! To check out the items from the Dollar Spot, read here: Target Dollar Spot Christmas 2019.
