DIY Reed Diffuser
Countdown to Christmas Day 1
Hey guys, I’m back with another cheap and easy DIY gift! Everyday from December 1st to Christmas day, I will be showing you all Christmas crafts, offering a free printable or a favorite Christmas recipe! This DIY Reed Diffuser is perfect with Christmas coming up as a hostess gift! All it requires is a few minutes of your time. This DIY Reed Diffuser can be made with supplies you probably already have at home.
The only ingredients for this DIY Reed Diffuser is baby oil and essential oils! You can use any kind of cooking oils as a base for this, but I find that baby oil works the best as a carrier oil. If you were to use olive oil or almond oil, it looks too murky after it’s been sitting for awhile. The baby oil is also clear which is an added bonus, I find that it looks so much prettier that way! I chose to use orange essential oil but you can use any oil that you like!. and you can also create custom blends with this!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Empty Glass Bottle
Reed Diffuser Sticks (here)
Orange Essential Oil (here)
Decorative Bow
Decorative Sprig
Step 1:
Fill your glass bottle 3/4 of the way with baby oil and add 30-50 drops of your favorite essential oils. I found my glass bottle from Hobby Lobby.
Step 2:
Tie 6 reed diffuser sticks and decorative sprig together. The reed diffuser sticks were purchased from Amazon, and the rosemary sprig was found in Targets Dollar Spot. The sprigs are still available, it’s part of there Christmas items, which you can see here: Target Dollar Spot Christmas 2019.
Step 3:
Tie everything together with a pretty bow. I found these bows in Target in the Christmas gift wrapping aisle. They were $5 for 6 of them.
Now you have a great hostess gift so you don’t show up empty handed! Just add a bottle of essential oil and wrap this with a cellophane treat bag. Every week add a few more drops of essential oils and gently shake!
You can even add this to a gift basket filled with other great homemade goodies!
