The snowflakes and wood beads were from a few years ago from Target’s Dollar Spot. I am soooo obsessed with the Dollar Spot, can you guys tell?! Hehe. The problem for me is I see and I buy, then it sits around for awhile before I come up with something to do! Anyways, if you remember I did make this DIY Christmas Gift Bag Sign with the wood beads, and I had some left over beads and decided on these cute snowflake ornaments! It is important to use bakers twine for the string. I tried using regular twine, but I couldn’t double string the beads, so the beads all hung on one side. You’ll be able to see what I’m saying with the pictures below. I took pictures of the flop!
You can find similar snowflakes here: Amazon. I chose to leave my snowflakes unpainted because of the white beads, but you could always paint yours!
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Wood Snowflakes
Wood Beads
Bakers Twine
Scissors
Step 1:
Cut the twine to 10 inches long, you want a little extra to work with-it’ll be easier to tie it. String the snowflake first, then add 2 wood beads with both sides of the string.
Step 2:
Tie a double knot on top and cut off the excess string. Use the first ornament as a length guide for the rest.
FLOP BELOW!
These ornaments are so customizable, you can use any shapes you like, you can paint them, add glitter, add a pretty bow on top, there are so many different ways to make them your own! How pretty would these be as gift toppers?!
