DIY Rose Oil Lip Balm
Hey guys, I’m back with another great beauty DIY! Remember, when I made this Rose Oil? Well I decided to make this DIY Rose Oil Lip Balm with the rose oil! This will make a great Mother’s Day gift which is right around the corner, can you believe it?! This DIY Rose Oil Lip Balm is super moisturizing and is only made with a few ingredients! I also made this printable that you can get by scrolling to the bottomof the page.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to make my own products. I know I’ve said this before but I can’t stress it enough, I know what I’m putting on my body and it’s not loaded with harmful ingredients. There’s also something very satisfying about making my own products, if I run out of what I use I don’t have to run out to the store, I can just whip up a batch of whatever I need! The best part about all of this, it takes 5 minutes to make and it can all be made right in your microwave! 5 minutes to make my own lip balm takes a lot less time than running out to the store!
I already had all the supplies I needed, so it didn’t cost me anything to make. If you do need to buy all of these supplies, it’ll cost about $30. I know it does sound like a lot, but it will get you a long way with how little of the ingredients you actually need to make these lip balms. You will have more than enough to make the other products at the bottom of the page!
This recipe calls for my DIY Rose Oil.

I have all the links provided below to the exact products I used.
*I used a plastic syringe that comes with infant medicine.
This recipe is enough to make 4 tubes of lip balm. You can double or triple the recipe if you need to make more, just keep in mind it will take longer for the beeswax to melt.
Step 1:
In a small microwaveable small, heat your beeswax pellets until it’s melted. I heated mine in increments of 45 seconds. By the third time, it was almost all melted and that’s when I added the coconut oil to the bowl with the beeswax pellets and heated it for an additional 45 seconds. Once everything is melted add the Vitamin E oil, and rose oil. If you don’t want to make your own rose oil, you can always try this one: Now Essential Oil, I have used that before and I like it!
Step 2:
Use a syringe or eye dropper to suck up the liquid and carefully add it to the lip balm tubes.
Step 3:
Put the lip balm tubes in the fridge for 30 minutes to harden up. After the 30 minutes, you will have homemade lip balm ready for use! How easy was that?! I added this PRINTABLE that I printed on these cute stickers that I found at Hobby Lobby!
If you don’t want to try the rose oil, you could also try this: DIY 2 Ingredient Lip Balm.
With all these ingredients, you can make these products: DIY 3 Ingredients Lotion Bars, and Homemade Organic Lip Balm. I will be posting more DIY beauty products soon!
For other uses for dried rose petals ideas, read here: DIY Rose Petal Bath Soak, and here: DIY Rose Petal Foot Soak. Those items would go great in a spa gift basket for Mother’s Day!
