DIY Bath Melts
25 Days of Christmas, Day 10
Hey guys, I’m back with another easy homemade gift idea! These homemade DIY Bath Melts are so luxurious in a gift by itself or you can throw this into a gift basket along with these homemade products: DIY Rose Oil Lip Balm, DIY Body Oil, and here: DIY Rose Petal Foot Soak.
I love the way these bath melts smell and they look so pretty with the dried rose petals! You could leave out the rose petals and throw in any dried flowers you have on hand or you could skip out on the flowers all together.
Everyday from December 1st to Christmas day, I will be showing you all Christmas crafts, offering a free printable or a favorite Christmas recipe! Make sure to check back everyday for those posts, or better yet-sign up for my emails so you don’t miss anything! For yesterday’s post, read here: DIY Peppermint Bath Salts.

5 Drops Lemon Essential Oil (here)
4 Drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil (similar here)
Wide Mouth Mason Jar (here)
*I used ice cube trays that I found in Dollar Tree, they were not available on their site at the time of this post.
If you want the exact Ylang Ylang essential oil I used, you can check out Artisan Oil’s Facebook Page, they currently do not have a website.
Boil water over high heat with a wide mouth mason jar in the pan. You can use a large bowl if you prefer but I chose the mason jar because it’s less of a clean up! Beeswax gets very messy and sticky, so I use one mason jar for all my beeswax making projects.
Once the water boils, lower the heat to medium and add your beeswax, cocoa butter, and mango butter. The beeswax will take about half and hour to melt, if you’re using beeswax blocks, it’ll take longer.
When all the beeswax is melted, add your essential oils and rose oil, carefully pour your melted mixture into the molds. I poured until 3/4 full, we need to leave some room for the rose petals. You have to work fast here because everything will start to solidify fast.
Put all your molds in the fridge for about 2 hours to really let the mixture solidify. This is your finished result!
You can use these bath melts for about 3 baths, they won’t fully dissolve the first time. Wrap them in a paper towel to store them.
These bath melts will be available for purchase soon and they will all be made with essential oils! Once I have the shop set up I will link it back here. There will also be lip balms, lotion bars, lotion bar sticks, rollerball perfumes and many more all natural, organic, homemade beauty products available for purchase!
