DIY Wax Melts
25 Days of Christmas, Day 12
Hey guys, I’m back with another easy homemade gift idea! These DIY Wax Melts smells amazing and are not loaded with harmful chemicals! You could make this in an afternoon.
I chose to use essential oils that smell just like Christmas but you could use whatever combinations you like. If you are not a fan of wax melts check out my other DIY room refresher recipes here: DIY Christmas Room Spray, DIY Rose Water Linen Spray, and here: DIY Essential Oil Room Refresher. They are all natural and non toxic.
Everyday from December 1st to Christmas day, I will be showing you all Christmas crafts, offering a free printable or a favorite Christmas recipe! Make sure to check back everyday for those posts, or better yet-sign up for my emails so you don’t miss anything! For yesterday’s post, read here: DIY Gingerbread Sugar Scrub.

1/2 Cup Beeswax (here)
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil (here)
Silicone Molds (similar here)*
22 Drops Orange Essential Oil (here)
18 Drops Cinnamon Essential Oil (here)
14 Drops Clove Essential Oil (similar here)
If you want the exact essential oils I used, you can check out Artisan Oil’s Facebook Page, they currently do not have a website.
*I used ice cube trays that I found in the Dollar Tree, they do not have on their website right now but they may still be available in stores.
Boil water over high heat with a mason jar in the pan. You can use a large bowl if you prefer but I chose the mason jar because it’s less of a clean up! Beeswax gets very messy and sticky, so I use one mason jar for all my beeswax making projects.
Once the water boils, lower the heat to medium and add your beeswax and coconut oil. The beeswax will take about half and hour to melt, if you’re using beeswax blocks, it’ll take longer.
When all the beeswax is melted add your essential oils. Carefully pour your melted mixture into the molds. Put the molds into the fridge and let that harden up.
