Sea Salt Spray
I’m back with another quick and easy essential oil recipe idea! This Homemade Sea Salt Spray can be made in a few minutes.
Sea Salt spray is an awesome way to style hair naturally. I have tried different recipes and this is the one I love the most!
About a year ago I decided to splurge on the Dyson Airwrap but I couldn’t get the curls to hold, so I went on a mission researching how to get the curls to hold. A few people said to try sea salt spray so I headed out to Target and I couldn’t believe the prices! I just spent so much on the Airwrap and was being awfully cheap!!!🤣 Can anyone else relate?! Now I had a new mission-to make one myself! After a few failed recipes, I tried this one and I’m VERY happy to say it really does hold the curls!
A bottle of this is great for these summer months we’ve had!
These spray jars from SKS Bottle & Packaging are my new favorite jars. They have a great selection of glass jars for all my homemade products. I have the link for the jars and the other ingredients listed below.

1 cup Hot Water (hot enough but not boiling so the salt can dissolve)
2 Tablespoons Sea Salt (here)
1 Tablespoon Argan Oil (here)
8 Drops Rosemary Essential Oil (similar here)
4 Drops Lavender Essential Oil (similar here)
Spray Bottle (This is my favorite!)
Directions:
1. In a small mixing bowl, add the water, sea salt, argan oil and essential oils. Stir well to mix.
2. Carefully pour the hot water mixture into your spray bottle.
4. Place top on spray bottle, and shake well to combine, about 30 seconds.
How to Use Sea Salt Spray
Lightly mist your sea salt spray over dry, straight hair for added texture, or mist roots for added volume. To achieve natural beach waves that last all day, spray over damp hair, scrunch and blow dry with a diffuser.
If you are using this with the Airwrap it is much better if you spray on damp hair and comb through. By combing this through you are ensuring all your strands get coated with the spray.
If you are adding lemon essential oil to your sea salt spray just know it can lighten your hair.
This sea salt spray may be stored at room temperature and lasts at least three months. Store out of direct sunlight or heat so it won’t break down the essential oils.
