Homemade Lavender Sugar
This Homemade Lavender Sugar combines lavender with granulated white sugar for the ultimate flavor enhancer! Add it to baked goods, flavor your tea, and more!
Lavender Sugar is regular granulated white sugar that has been infused with dried lavender. Over time, the sugar takes on the lovely flavor of the lavender, and its uses are limited only by your imagination! Lavender Sugar has a sweet, floral flavor.
There is a difference in lavender to buy for adding food, you want to use English Lavender. I have provided the link below.
This recipe requires 2 ingredients and can be made in a matter of minutes!

Coffee grinder (here)
2 Cups Granulated White Sugar (here)
1 Tablespoon English Lavender (here)
Glass Jar (similar here)
- Grind the dried lavender buds down to a powder using a coffee grinder. This will help release their flavor and aroma more effectively, and you won’t have chunks of lavender floating in your tea!
- Combine the lavender with the sugar in a mixing bowl.
That’s it!
- baked goods – Substitute plain sugar with lavender sugar in bakes. Cakes, cookies, scones, bread…you name it!
- tea – Make your hot or iced tea more flavorful! Just ensure that your lavender is ground finely, as the sugar will dissolve, and the lavender will not.
- Lemonade – Add 1 tablespoon of Lavender Sugar to 8oz lemonade.
- Sprinkle over fresh fruit – A fantastic way to fancy up fresh fruit, and pairs beautifully with berries, stone fruits, and citrus.
- Give as a gift – Because of all the fantastic uses for Lavender Sugar, it also makes a great gift! In just a few minutes you can have jars of flavored sugar for gifting to family and friends.
