Homemade Lavender Honey
25 Days of Christmas – Day 2
This Homemade Lavender Honey is a great gift idea for holidays. You only need 2 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep time.
Lavender is known for it’s stress-relieving, sleep enhancing properties, making this honey perfect for unwinding at the end of a long day. This is particularly great mixed with chamomile tea, the perfect combination for relaxation.
You could also add this lavender honey to Greek yogurt, biscuits, scones, lemonades, and so much more.
Make sure you use culinary lavender for this recipe, there will be a difference in taste.

- Add 1 tablespoon of lavender in a glass jar.
- Cover the dried lavender with the liquid honey.
- Allow the mixture to set for a few days. Be sure to shake the jar daily to distribute the lavender evenly.
- Once the honey tastes like lavender to you, strain out the dried buds and store the honey in an airtight jar.
If your honey hardens (crystallize), thin out the honey by putting the jar in warm water or set it on a sunny windowsill.
