DIY Lip Mask
25 Days of Christmas – Day 13
This DIY Lip Mask is a simple, fun way to keep your lips soft and smooth, without adding all the chemicals of store bought lip masks. It will take 2 minutes to make, and only requires a few ingredients.
I chose to add castor oil to my DIY Lip Mask. I have made many lip balms before, but sometimes my lips a little more hydration. Castor oil is thick but it’s super moisturizing which makes it ideal my dry lips.
Castor oil contains humectants. Humectants help retain skin moisture by preventing water loss, making it perfect for this DIY Lip Mask.
I like to add Vitamin E oil to my homemade products because it acts as a preservative ensuring a longer shelf life. Vitamin E oil is also know for its moisturizing, and repairing properties. It also helps with chapped, dry lips.
Castor Oil isn’t so tasty on its own, that’s why I added sugar, and vanilla!

I love using this throughout the day, especially in this very cold weather we’ve been having. The castor oil is thick but it will leave your lips looking plump and glossy! You could also just use this DIY Lip Mask overnight.
