Christmas Hand Scrub
25 Days of Christmas – Day 15
Christmas Hand Scrub is the best thing ever to restore moisture to dry hands. With 5 kids comes A LOT of dishes!, I’m constantly washing dishes and my hands take a beating especially during the winter months.
I’m no stranger to homemade skincare products, so I thought I would give this a try, and I love how it turned out. I also love Christmas so I really wanted to try a blend of essential oils to smell like Christmas!
This recipe is simple and easy. It takes less than 5 minutes to make a batch which means it makes for a fantastic last minute gift idea!
You could really play around with this and add fresh herbs, dried lavender, fresh citrus zest, or even my DIY Thieves Oil! There are so many different options! I chose to add essential oils to mine.
These tins are from SKS Bottle & Packaging, they are my new favorite company! They have a great selection of glass jars and tins for all my homemade products. I have the link for the tins and the other ingredients listed below.

Heat the coconut oil in your microwave in 30 second increments. Once the coconut oil is fully melted, add the sugar and stir to combine. Now add the essential oils and mix again.
This hand scrub should last for a few months. Do your best to keep water out of the jar, otherwise you’ll have to worry about mold and bacteria. Use a spoon to scoop the scrub out of the jar, so the everything stays germ free.
You could also try this DIY Cuticle Oil, Homemade Organic Lip Balm, and Foaming Hand Soap to throw in a gift basket.
