Gingerbread Latte
25 Days of Christmas – Day 19
This Gingerbread Latte is the perfect drink for the Christmas season! You can make this holiday favorite drink at home in 10 minutes.
You only need a few ingredients and a few minutes. You could use coffee if you don’t have espresso at home.
To kick off the Christmas spirit, I will be sharing with you homemade gift ideas or a favorite Christmas recipe! These posts will run everyday for 25 days. STEPS:
Combine 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add the spices, and vanilla extract, stirring constantly until the sugar fully dissolves.
This should take about 5-8 minutes. Once it’s ready, remove it from heat, and let cool.
While the syrup is cooling, warm your milk in a small saucepan over low heat.
Brew your espresso, once that’s done, mix it with 4 Tablespoons of gingerbread syrup. Now, add the milk. Top it off with whipped cream, and ground nutmeg.
You can store the remaining syrup in the fridge for 3 days.
