Caramel Apple Butter
25 Days of Christmas – Day 24
Caramel Apple Butter will be a hit at your next brunch or as a gift! This recipe does take some time to make but it’s so worth it!
All you need is a slow cooker, just dump and forget!
This caramel apple butter tastes great on biscuits, pancakes, French toast, and even lattes.

6 Lbs. Gala Apples
2 Cups Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
¼ Teaspoon Salt
¼ Teaspoon Ground Cloves
2 (11 oz) Packages Caramels
STEPS:
Peel, core, and cut the apples into 1” inch cubes.
Add the apples, and spices in a slow cooker. Cook on high for 5 hours. Purée the mixture with an immersion blender until smooth.
Microwave unwrapped caramels in a microwave-safe dish until melted for 30 seconds. Add the caramels to the apple mixture , and cook for 2 hours.
This caramel apple butter will keep for two weeks in the refrigerator.
