Homemade Elderberry Syrup
This Homemade Elderberry Syrup recipe is really easy, and worth the effort for the money saved. I am definitely one of those who do prefer to make my own things, I totally get it if that’s not your cup of tea! But, it is sooo much cheaper to make your own.
One jar of store bought elderberry syrup will cost about $20, or you can buy a bag of dried elderberries for $20, and get a lot more than a store bought jar! This elderberry syrup takes about an hour to make.
This Elderberry Syrup tastes great on its own or mixed with tea. You just need about 1 Tablespoon a day.
Elderberries contain vitamins A, B, and C and stimulate the immune system. Their complex sugars are clinically shown to help support the immune system, which can cut recovery time in half.
This recipe calls for honey, you don’t have to add the honey, but it will definitely sweeten it up. Elderberries on its own tend to be bitter.
